Right Thinking From The Left Coast
The Government is merely a servant -- merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn't. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them. - Mark Twain

Bleach and Macaroni
by Lee

Kraft Mac and Cheese.  It’s the bleachiest!

A mother has been charged with trying to poison her adult daughter and her daughter’s family after allegedly pouring bleach into their macaroni and cheese on Saturday night.

Nancy O’Donnell, 56, was charged with four counts each of aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person, police said.

O’Donnell’s daughter, Victoria Lynn O’Donnell, 24, was preparing dinner around 6:30 p.m. for her live-in boyfriend, Jamal Scott, 30, and their 6-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter. The four share a home with Nancy O’Donnell.

Victoria O’Donnell went upstairs while the food was cooking, and police said that when she came back downstairs, she could smell bleach in the food. She tried the macaroni and cheese and immediately spit it out after tasting the bleach, police said.

No one else tasted the food.

Victoria O’Donnell then confronted her mother about the allegedly tainted dinner. According to court records, Nancy O’Donnell said she wanted to sicken her daughter because “you don’t deserve those children.”

Consider this.  The mother and daughter both have traditional Irish names.  The kid’s name is “Jamal”.  I think the daughter has a case of jungle fever.  Perhaps the mother was trying to use the bleach to “lighten things up,” so to speak?

Oh, so THIS is what that female medical doctor on PBS means by “mother-daughter wisdom.” Or, is she just one of those who looks only at the “positive and uplifting” side, and not the down-and-dirty local politics of mother-daughter relations?

Just wait till they’re both menopausal.  Imagine what THAT dinner will be like!

And, we have a whole North American continent poised to go through just such an experience.  Too late to rethink just how far up and through the glass ceiling we want women to promote.

Hmmm.  Testosterone poisoning (as the lesbians call it) or menopausal decision making.  Which is better?  Which is worse.  YOU be the judge!  And, you will because you’ll have no choice!

So, she’s a lightweight version of my mother-in-law?

In technical terms, what I have to put up with is an “aggressive sociopath”, but I just call her a satanic bitch.

The kid’s name is “Jamal”

According to a friend in the UK, there has been some wierd trend in White anglo-europe to give kids American Black names. Grade school kids named Tamika, Amare, and LaQuisha are apparently pretty common…

...Fucking hilarious

Could someone maybe think to use something other than Clorox to taint food?  It would take wayyyy too much of that to kill someone, putting a splash of it in the mac’n cheese wouldn’t do more than cause vomiting, if that.

Strange.  Btw, doesn’t the story say the live in 30 y.o. boyfriend is named Jamal not the kids?  Anyway, your idea remains plausible that the daughter has a case of jungle fever and the mother doesn’t approve.

Btw, I really hate having to “guess” the race of people in news stories because it’s PC to actually specify it (because race never matters).  Sometimes it’s just a detail you’re curious about.  When I’m imagining a news story I like to know some things…

You might wonder why I don’t want to know what color their hair is or how tall they are. The reason is that it’s easy to ascribe an average height and common hair color to the participants.  However, there is no average skin color really.  And the socio economic status of the people is significant also… although if you look hard enough you can make some assumptions (i.e. they’re probably not too affluent if the mom, live in boyfriend, and two kids are living with grandma).
