Right Thinking From The Left Coast
Freedom of Press is limited to those who own one - H.L. Mencken

Chris Christie schools the MSNBC “Morning Joe” crowd

And he does it by pointing out that the demcorat that the people of Connecticut just elected to be the governor, whom is raising our taxes all over the place while pretending he will get concessions from his party’s biggest & most powerful donor block - public employee unions - and telling us all it is so we all share the burden equally, is going to cost the state of Connecticut more jobs and not sharing the burden equally at all.

The response from my state’s new governor was as pathetic as it could be:

Yeah, the state of Connecticut pretends to have a slightly lower tax burden compared to its neighbors, something that’s debatable, and that’s the claim to fame that makes us better.

Oh yeah, and all that high tech shit he claims we make in Connecticut? Most of it is military related, and the left is dying to cut military spending directly impacting these industries the hardest.  Besides, both Pratt & Whitney and GE have moved their manufacturing operations elsewhere, and the only reason we build submarines in Connecticut is that absent Virginia, no other state has the infrastructure. Something that will eventually change when the Navy figures out how much more they could save in some other state. Connecticut is going to keep bleeding private sector jobs, the private sector will see their taxes, directly or indirectly, raised even more than the new budget will as the budget gap continues to grow, while the public employee unions will block the concessions request with ease considering they own these retards. But we will all “share” the burden. Right.

Well, even though we have a sub base in the Seattle region and used to build boats like crazy, nobody in their right mind is going to open a large shipyard here.  At least, not until taxes come down and the local politicians decide that turning the entire region into a “bike-friendly” paradise isn’t a top priority.

One of their neighbors is NY… so they’re probably right.  AZ, NV, and OR can say the same thanks to us in CA.  Saying “We’re better then the absolute worse here...” isn’t exactly the greatest claim to fame.

You can say pretty much the same thing for CA (and especially here in San Diego with our bases, the bay and the old NASSCO shipyards).  For here in SD, add in these plans for paths so you can walk from east county to the ocean and up/down all the canyons along Mission Valley too.. dual use with bikes is planned too I think.

So, income estimates from 2007 have what actual meaning in this argument? Wouldn’t a better current correlation be incomes from FOUR years ago versus today’s debt load?

Do you even read the stuff you link to?

Muirgy, again you prove how stupid you are by trying to make a correlation between high tax rates and high income. That’s like saying birds fly because they can poop when they do it. Moron.

Yes, CT ranks up there as a high income state. But that’s because we have most of the Wall Street execs and some of the richest corporate earners in the nation - you know, the people you hate so much - skewing our numbers drastically upwards, far higher than the real medium income really is. And oh yeah, and CT has one of the highest costs of living in the union too.

Don’t contrary facts like this just chap your hide???

I wish facts chapped your hide. You seem to be immune to them and to anyone repeatedly showing how stupid and deceitful you are.

Do you even read the stuff you link to?

I think the issue is more how fervently he hopes we don’t pay close attention to the bullshit he links to back up his made up points.

This guy has got to be a caricature designed to gin up comment traffic.  Not even the liberals are stupid enough to think that tax hikes cause people to earn more money.

The reality is that 9000 people in Connecticut pay 20% of the CT tax burden, and of those 9000 many of them got axed from their jobs in the financial industry.  Think they plan on staying in CT and continuing to pay 20 percent of our tax burden after what happened to them?

Yeah, that’s why we’re so deep in the hole.  We depended on them to pay for everything and then we tore the rug out from under them.

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

Fang:

In Muirgoo’s made up, zero-sum, tax the fixed/immobile rich world, it is just that simple.  What a buffoon!  Liberal Utopia is just a few more tax hikes on those rich corporations and individuals away.......

OK, fess up:

Which moderator or poster is Moogoo?  He is just too stupid to be a real, live human.

OTOH, If he is real. he should be banned, because his tactic of posting drivel followed by lack of comprehension and application of reason to responses is intolerable and definitely not within the goals of this forum.  He is a libspammer.  Nothing more.

I seriously could not fathom or pass up on how freaking stupid Muirgy shows he is when he actually tries to make the idiotic point that a tax hike will somehow make CT a higher income state, that I decided a second post was warranted. This marxist idiocy where they believe that any kind of labor, even by government pencil pushers that contribute squat and drain a huge amount of people’s money from them is what creates wealth, is the problem with the morons that believe like him that a tax, a burden on the producers, can suddenly make people higher earners. Seriously, if I spend 40 hours of labor polishing a turd, which often is the equivalent of what these government workers do, that turd will not suddenly be worth huge money as these Marxists believe.

That Muirgy actually believes and makes the case that government is responsible for CT being a high income state, and taxes to fund a bloated public machine in particular, completely ignoring the fact that CT is a high income state because some of the biggest earners in the nation, in the private sector mind you, that for now consider CT a better alternative to the neighboring states, but will eventually decide that none of these New England states is worth the troublet, as CT simply plays the “I am slightly better than the others when it comes to fleecing you” game, drives me bananas. Those income numbers were from 2 years ago BTW, Murigy. CT has lost a ton of these “big earners” in the past few years precisely because the demcorats here have used them as cash cows. I expect even more of them to move out of CT - especially with NY now telling them that they have to also pay full taxes in NY if they have a vacation house there where they spend a even just a couple of weeks out of the year - because they are getting fleeced and have had enough. Most then moving to Florida, or some other state with less of a tax burden on them, in the end leaving our budget with a bigger gap. And then what will happen is that these scumbags will raise taxes on the middle class you so fret about even more than they just did to cover the holes. In the mean time these people that deliver nothing more than polished turds will continue to earn far, far above their worth.

And then he has the temerity of referring to his idiotic assertion that the governor raising taxes on people will result in CT people being bigger wage earners as some kind of fact. What a freaking maroon!

Alex I just love watching you do mental gymnastics and preparing Mind Salad to explain away these inconvenient truths.

YOU are the guys who claim higher taxes will destroy economies. YOU claimed Fattie Boy schooled MSNBC but in fact Fattie Boy was wrong.

Now we can also look at the other end of the spectrum… here we see the lowest income states are not the ones with the highest taxes. In fact most of them are on the lower side of taxation.

Likewise the lowest state tax states do have better incomes ranging from 5th highest to 18th highest but they are not as high as the income of the high tax states.

The evidence just doesn’t support your claims.. it’s contrary. Same at the federal level some of our best growth years were when we had higher taxes on the wealthy. Clinton even did an experiment between reagan and Bush showing the same results.

Don’t bother with the Clinton Cut Corporate Taxes Mind Salad… its beneath you… well maybe not. It is funny to me though.

No way! If Muirgeo1 is real I want him given even more freedoms to post. This guy is the poster child of why the shit the left believes is dumb and destructive. We need to encourage him to speak out and say what he really believes, because that’s how people will find out these bastareds are crazy and hell bent on destroying any semblance of a modern working society.

You want to ban gems like this NotNeoConMan? Not me! I want more of this. It’s like ambrosia to watch his insanity unfold.

LOL! Says the guy that equates robbing people of their earnings with wealth generation. Because all the economies where the state has simply confiscated most or all wealth, or massively taxed the populus, no matter what the excuse or scam to enrich the people in power at the expense of the productive, throughout history, have resulted in booming economies, right? PRICELESS!

Conflating taxation rates with income is akin to making the argument that pregnancies happen because women get fat. Your grasp of reality and your ability of reasoning astound! I see where the AGW science gets their genius from when I see you talk. Fangbeer and I both pointed out precisely why CT has such high per capita income, mentioned that when you removed these gross earners form the count, we wouldn’t be close to the top 10, pointed out how they were deserting the state, and yet, here you doubling down on your stupid by cherry picking totally unrelated and immediately obvious falsehoods, like correlating high taxes with high income, to pretend taxes are good. If taxation really was the reason for higher incomes, then why isn’t government simply confiscating all of it? Shit, if the facts & math really work that way taxing 100% should basically make everyone billionaires at a minimum. You can’t sound more than stupid than when you make this kind of argument, Murigy.

How about we look at some real factual analysis and logic, huh? Which states had the biggest industrial growth, mostly at the early part of the past century, creating enormous wealth, only to then turn around and piss most of it away with collectivist redistributive scams? Which state economies are growing the fastest, along with their population, as businesses – you know the entities that actually create wealth – move to them? You ever hear of Detroit? How is Michigan ranked in these tax vs. income statistics, over time, so we can see trending? Do you know what income loss caused the CT budget to skew into projected multi billion dollar deficits and what caused this income to leave the state?

The evidence just doesn’t support your claims.. it’s contrary. Same at the federal level some of our best growth years were when we had higher taxes on the wealthy. Clinton even did an experiment between reagan and Bush showing the same results.

You can not buy this level of stupid man. Simply can’t. Muirgy, you are a godsent! It is no wonder that the Keynesians are baffled why their big stimulus patronage spending didn’t produce anything if they believe the same shit you do. Again, if high taxes is what drives economic growth, stop half measures and have government tax at 100%, because then we will be out of the economic depression the left’s economic meddling has left us in, in no time at all. Better yet, go with the USSR, Cuba, or North Korea model, ban private property outright, and watch the wealth grow!

Don’t bother with the Clinton Cut Corporate Taxes Mind Salad… its beneath you… well maybe not. It is funny to me though.

Tell you what dude: I won’t even bother correcting you after that. It’s so idiotic and intuitively wrong that it is not necessary to do so. Sane people will see your argument and if they can avoid having a brain seizure over how stupid it is, simply roll their eyes and make a commitment to keep people that believe what you do away from any decision making short of what color the straight jacket you should be wearing would be.

Once again we see that data analysis isn’t your strongest subject.  Go look up a concept called “cause and effect”....
