Note to female Olympians.  It might be a good idea to get a wax job before you hit the ice.

Although, this might help her in her next career, as a star in Japanese tentacle porn.

Off topic but…

Considering the impending sectarian civil war in Iraq, remember you heard it here first last year.

Remember this Lee? Oops, looks like you were wrong yet again, in what is now becoming one of your classic overreactions to breathless media reports, much like your initial overreaction to the UAE-Ports deal.

Remember, wishing doesn’t make it so.

I didn’t know beaver liked to skate…

P.S. Is RagePundit trying to pick a fight again?  What a damn Bush asskisser...or is it a Bush kisser, Bush licker, or Bush whacker maybe.

It’s good to know the libertarians still have the same class I remember.

This one is over 18??  They pimp gymnastics and figure skating on Olympic broadcasts to get the female and pedo demos.

Post 10 shots like this, so we can rate them 1 to 10. We can use to olympic scale and rate them 7.2 (worst) to 9.98 (best).

Actually, the fact that giving control of our ports to the UAE didn’t give you any cause for concern proves my point that you’re a Bush asskisser.  Only someone who has undying fealty for and faith in the brilliance and wisdom of this president could have looked at this deal and said, “Oh, it’s no big deal.”

Remember, questioning Dear Leader is counterrevolutionary!

I actually watched this, and noticed it on the broadcast, but I just sort of assumed it was shadows caused by the reinforced cotton panel of her panty hose, since, in my experience, Asian women tend to have naturally sparse pubes.

Oh, and by the way, RagePussy, you sure seemed to turn tail and run the other night when two or three of us nailed you on your “Republicans are better at national security” bullshit.  But that’s about what I’ve come to expect from you Bush worshippers.

Posted by Drumwaster on 02/27/06 at 01:04 PM from United States

Having looked into it, Lee, I have withdrawn my objections to the port deal, but not because of Bush’s “hey, trust me”.

The only real difference is going to be in who signs the paychecks of the American cargo handlers, and who collects the profits for doing so. Security is still under Federal control, and the workers will still be American dockworkers. (Yes, that’s a problem, but it is an inherent one involving the likelihood of local organized crime, and it won’t be made worse by it being a different nation running things.)

Bush fucked up in not getting ahead of this story.

Posted by Lee on 02/27/06 at 01:20 PM from United States

I totally agree.  The more I hear about it the less of a problem I think it is.  I just wish Dear Leader would have realized what a shitstorm this was going to whip up, and have had his ducks in a row in advance.

Posted by on 02/27/06 at 01:44 PM from United States

Here is my opinion on Bush and the port deal.

His first mistake was assuming that republicans were smart enough to look into the issue before exploding with reactionary anger.

His second mistake was assuming that the Democrats were self aware enough to realize their own hypocrisy regarding racial profiling.

So I guess the fact that you rushed into a fit of hysteria over it proves my point that you wildly overreact to anything you see in the press.

No, unlike you I didn’t rush into a fit of hysteria and go nuts about it, and then later on have to retract because I realized I PMSed all over the keyboard, just like about the “impending Iraq civil war” you wrote about. You see something in the press and go nuts. Don’t feel bad, lots of people on the right side of the political spectrum suffer from it.

Nice try though Lee “even though I was wrong I was still right” is all your argument amounted to.

Weak.

Really? Please search your site and find that quote from me.

BTW, I notice you shut your yap real fast about your “civil war” prediction.

Gawd, you fall for the same thing every. single. time. And your entire response is “BUSH LOVER”

Indeed.

In terms of the sectarian civil war thing. I think Lee indeed bought into the media hype was too easily because of his underminded confidence in Bush. I think it was a legitimate fear and still think that the current peace deals are too good to be true, but I think an all out civil war is a bit off.

And yes, initially one would have had to have been a Bush worshipper to not see a problem with the port deal. Now that the information is out there it’s hard to rationally object to it, but Bush still totally blew it by not getting the information out there when the story first blew.

Why exactly, did that deal have to raise panic? Foreign companies run or own these sorts of things all over the country. The fact that the company is now owned by UAE govt as opposed to England is meaningless, since there’s plenty of chance for a Brit to sell out anyway. And last of all, lets be honest, the southern and possibly northern border is a sieve, it’s probably more complicated and dangerous for terrorists to come in via the ports when they can stroll in from Juarez.  (oh no, I broke solidarity with Bush here! Is that enough for me to establish my credibility with Lee? STAY TUNED!)

What it really comes down to is a whole lot of whining regarding Bush’s PR style, or lack of.

He’s done it time and again, he’s let his enemies get ahead on the issue, and has allowed them to own the issue, and eventually talk talk talk themselves into going overboard, where Bush finally comes in with a series of speeches to set the record straight, and the thing blows over like it never happened.

It’s been 5 years, think you’d have noticed a pattern by now.

This admin has politically survived due to the incompetence of the democrats.  “The democrats/liberals would be worse” is still their first and last response to any screw-up (whether substantive (prescription drug benefit) or political (this port deal)).  If the dems were serious about stopping the republicans, they’d disolve.

Posted by on 02/27/06 at 02:51 PM from United States

As to Iraq, I think it’s better if the civil war happens while we’re still there.  I’ve long thought that partition is the best option (even with all the difficulties (Turkey, oil, a little ethnic cleansing, etc)).  If it can happen while US troops are there to control the worst of the violence and avoid any extermination programs, it might just be the most stable solution we can acheive at this point.  At very least, since we squandered the initial opportunities with the occupation, it’s time to look at the situation as it exists and realistically plan.  Sadly, I’ve been forced to give up on this administration planning anything and have absolutely no hope that the dems will offer anything constructive.

Wow this thread drifted into (out of?) the weeds…

I question whether all the information is out there.  There are some questions about usual requirements in foreign takeovers that were overlooked, something about keeping records in the states as opposed to Dubai where they couln’t respond to a court order, if necessary.  I am glad that congress will be looking at it closer, if for no other reason than I’ve bought into the fact that Bush says we can never be too careful.  Also, this didn’t get the scrutiny at the very top I think it deserves.  Bush and Rumsfeld are on the record saying they didn’t know about it til after the fact.  You can give me this hooey about this deal not rising to the cabinet or presidential level.  Fine.  No go sell that to the American people.  I hear bullshit detectors going off all over the place.
