Right Thinking From The Left Coast

By now you’ve probably heard of this.

Progressive Democrats are speculating that Sarah Palin’s four-month old son is really not hers. Democrats believe that Palin’s daughter is really her daughter’s son.

Sarah Palin shot from obscurity when John McCain selected the 44-year-old governor of Alaska to be his running-mate last Friday.

Fueling the speculation was that the birth of the Down Syndrome baby, born April 18, 2008, was a surprise and even her staff were unaware she was pregnant until seven months into the pregnancy. Additionally, Palin’s water broke one month before the baby was due yet she kept a speaking engagement in Texas then made the eight-hour flight to Alaska. Three days after the birth of Trig, Palin returned to work as Governor.

Democratic bloggers are pointing to a video (located at the end of this article) by Palin where she discusses motherhood in March 2008, weeks before her delivery but doesn’t mention her pregnancy.

Ann Althouse has more. Also, Alan Colmes self-destructs over Palin’s fitness as a mother. I think these people may have just handed McCain the election.

Even if true, which I think is unlikely, I don’t really give a shit.

The whole thing stinks of desperation - this isn’t even in the same universe as a “bimbo eruption”, “monkey business”, “crazy eyes” Hunter, or Hillary’s lesbian mistress, but they are going to run with it until they figure out it doesn’t have any legs....

I fear this may be true. We’ll know sooner rather than later. OMG - That Alan Colmes comment makes me want to vomit, it is that bad. Let us all infatuate over the VP candidate’s groin.

Please let us think about the country.

I wasn’t going to post on this until it was debunked.  This reminds me of nothing so much as 9/11 Truthers.  They piece together photos and claim to have discovered and elaborate conspiracy.

The water breaking concern shows a spectacular ignorance.  Water breaking does not always mean labor is imminent.  Some women have to be induced a day or so after the water has broken, even if it means a premature birth.  That’s what happened in this case.

This is basically a swift-babying.

Couldn’t agree more. All these morons had to do was keep their mouth shut, and let Bush help them win the election. Now they had to open their mouths. In the last couple of days they have manage to show the following:

The concern and outrage of Katrina was a farce, as another powerful hurricane headed for the same victims, and same minorities the “Bush hates” is nothing more than a political god send for them.

Women are only good if they toe the line for the Leftist political agenda. If they fall out of line, these same male power brokers who pretended they are for equal rights will run you through the gutter, question your responsibility as a parent, drag your kids through the mud, and patronize you on your looks, and question your right to promote your career. Welcome back to the 50s, we now know who the real fat cat good ole boys are.

If this keeps up, McCain and Palin can run the Dems right into the ground. The Dems had this in the bag. I really wonder if there is some bet going on between the two parties as to who can turn off their own supporters more. They sure as shit all work hard at it.

McCain’s VP pick has turned out to be more of a mindfuck to the left than any of us imagined. They can’t find a good response. Criticizing her on the issues is tricky, I guess, since she’s more than rhetoric on the abortion debate, has focused on ethics reform, and can talk a good game on energy. I can see some legitimate areas for criticism, but her family certainly isn’t one.

Even Sullivan toyed around with the pregnancy thing for a while, along with the mother-in-law quote. I mean Jesus, it’s not complicated: if Palin isn’t qualified, neither is Obama.

I guess nobody has pointed out that Down’s syndrome babies are a lot more common when women give birth over 40?

The odds are strongly in favor of it being hers.

Actually, I think the abuse of power allegations are more likely to dog her through the campaign.

The story so far is pretty unclear, but that means there will almost certainly be a long trail of revelations about the story between now and November.

If the Dem leadership and their more vocal supporters were smart (which they are not) They’d stick to topics like this. So far, they’ve made big deals about a kid with Down Syndrome, and whether a woman should curtail here career because of it.

Accused her of faking a pregnancy for her daughter, which now victimizes a teenage girl who has nothing to do with the office (just as lame as when the right were making fun of Chelsea Clinton for her looks).

They’ve manage to mock her and question if she has any intelligence whatsoever because she was a ‘beauty queen’.

And then Alan Colmes and his nonsense.

Great job Lefties, take the route of bashing parents of disabled children when they try to go on with life, and point out that disability as a focus. Mock a woman for trying to advance her career, and dig deep to find any spin to make her unfit as a mother to stop her advancements.

Remember Dan Quayle and the single mom comments? Now here’s a married couple, and the mom is unfit because she works, and wants to move ahead?

I love it. After 8 years of Bush fuckups time and time again, the Left still struggle to find a way to look like even bigger idiots. Mock women, attack children with rumors, and promote the idea that having a disabled kid is the end to your growth. Pinheads.

Actually, it is Sarah’s, and Bristol is faking the pregnancy because the last thing America needs is a woman in the VP spot, much less a pregnant woman.

This is awesome, because the Left, and their inability to keep their fucking mouths shut will isolate all those young mothers out there, which they pretend to care about by mocking this too. If you thought Dan Quayle was bad, sit back and watch the spectacle.

I’m not sure how much there is to that issue.  Obviouly it is actually relevant.  But now that the first big criticism to come down on Palin has been seen as absolutly pathetically desperate, any future criticisms will be colored by it.  That the left invented a Weekly World News storyline will reduce their credibility with any future attacks, even those with some substance.

We saw it in 2004-no group in history has been better at losing presidential elections than the modern Democratic party.

Well, at least Obama is speaking out. Credit where credit is due. I wish him luck on shutting these pinheads up. They can’t help themselves.

He won’t, can’t, and wouldn’t shut them up.  He’s just trying to make sure that he appears to have some distance from that type of politics.
